The schedule for Cub activities:
Cub activities will begin on Thursday, July 31 at 1 PM and run until 5 PM.
Registration on Thursday begins at 12:30. Please make sure Cubs have had their lunch before coming to the event.
Activities will continue on Friday and Saturday.
Registration will begin at 8:00 AM in the Cub Activities area.
Activities will run 9:00 to 12:00 (noon).
Then we will have a lunch break from
12:00 Noon -2:00 PM.
Activities will resume at 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
Eight (8) activity sessions will be offered on Friday and Saturday, each lasting 35 minutes.
Five 35 minute sessions will be offered on Thursday. All will be done as a round robin.

Two belt loops and two pins can be earned! Cubs can earn the Music belt loop and pin, Astronomy pin and Volleyball belt loop. Partial requirements for the Weather pin will also be earned.
Different activities will be offered each day.

Astronomy Pin |
|
Complete these requirements:
Earn the Astronomy Belt Loop and complete these five requirements:
1. Draw a telescope and tell how it works.
2. Explain how to use a star map
3. Draw and label five constellations.
Locate them in the sky.
5. Interview an astronomer.
9. Learn about some early space missions.

Weather Pin |
|
Complete these requirements:
Earn the Weather belt loop, complete the following requirements plus three others:
5. Define what is meant by acid rain. Explain the greenhouse effect.
12. Explain how rainbows are formed and then draw & color a rainbow. |

Volleyball Belt Loop |
|
Complete these three requirements:
1. Explain the rules of volleyball to your leader or adult partner.
2. Spend at least 30 minutes practicing skills to play the sport of volleyball.
3. Participate in a volleyball game. |

Music Belt Loop |
|
Complete these three requirements:
1. Explain why music is an important part of our culture.
2. Pick a song with at least two verses and learn it by heart.
3. Listen to four different types of music either recorded or live.

Music Pin |
|
Earn the Music belt loop, and complete these five requirements:
1. Make a musical instrument and play it for your family, den, or pack.
2. Teach your den a song.
3. Play a song by yourself or in a group, in unison or in harmony.
4. Create an original melody and/or original words for a song.
9. Create movements to a piece of music without words to demonstrate the moods of the music: happy, sad, calm, excited, playful, and inspired.

Space Derby, Pinewood Derby and/or
Raingutter Regatta!
Friday evening Cubs may participate in a Space Derby, Pinewood Derby and/or a Raingutter Regatta. Cubs are to bring their own Space Derby or Pinewood Derby Car. Materials will be available to make their own regatta boat.

Other activities include making a scrapbook, going on a Scavenger hunt, crafts, obstacle course, and learning flag etiquette in a fun way.
All packs who sign up by July 1 will have the opportunity to spend Friday night in the museum. The ratio of two adults per ten boys will apply. All Tiger Cubs will need to be accompanied by their adult partner.
